There's no one better qualified as a fiscal conservative than this guy. The transcripts of the House Banking Comittee which he's headed for years now are fascinating. It's almost sad how he and Alan Greenspan seem to agree that fiat monetary policy and inflation are inferior to actual sound money, and that following Kenesian policies it is impossible to know exactly how to replicate an economy as if it were run on sound money.

Albeit, he is unlikely to win (maybe even a 0.something% chance) but he has a 100% chance of spreading much needed (and forgotten) messages - FREEDOM, LIBERTY, and the CONSTITUTION!
