I know what the national debt is, but national debt is not personal debt, as the speaker in the video implies. Should you choose to pay income tax, then you will be paying national debt back, if there is a Democrat in office.

So you think that if a Republican is President and the Congress is Democrat then the blame all goes to the Republicans? The President does not pass laws, Congress does. The President can only spend money that the Congress gives him to spend.

It was not a Congress of Democrats until recently, after Bush started the "war."
The president can start a war which costs money. Since Bush started the war, now we have no choice but to help our troops that are over there.

I'm going to call bullshit on that every time someone says it, you can end a war by cutting the spending, and regardless of what anyone says, that's the most effective way to protect the troops and keep them out of harms way.

Perot was pulled into the 1992 election to keep Bo Gritz off the ballot should neither candidate have gotten 270 electorial votes. If that happens, the election moves to the Congress, whom chooses from the top 3 candidates, which can safely elect the third candidate. THAT is why Kissinger got Ross Perot to run. Not that Perot was no good. But Bo Gritz was the most decorated Vietnam War Vet and he would've done exactly what Ron Paul has in mind- shutting down the Federal Reserve system

Not only is luke right about cutting war spending. The President has limited veto power - Big deal if he regects a bill, Congress can consider the reasons for the veto remove the funding and vote the withdraw date on through. I guess some Anthrax might appear in the mail or the funding can be diverted Iran/Contra err ah Afgan/Combantant or whatever Bush/Clinton Intellegence Cabal sea of drug money will do.
